It's
"The Monster Blog", a weekly column by TNA Wrestling superstar "The
Monster" Abyss! Check back each week for a new entry from Abyss:
Well
everyone, the teams are set and let the war begin!! Thats right, both
of the teams in the Lethal Lockdown match at Lockdown have been
announced. As a matter of fact, they were both revealed at last Monday’s
Impact on Spike. Team Flair once again could not help themselves and
interupted our in ring interview last Monday only to reveal to Jeff
Jarrett, Hulk Hogan and myself that their team was in fact completed.
Standing alongside of Flair and part of Team Flair will be Desmond
Wolfe, Beer Money (James Storm and Robert Roode), and the icon Sting.
Now don’t get me wrong these guys make up a very formidable and strong
team. Hulk and I wanted to wait to introduce our final two team members,
however, Flair would not let that happen so Hulk and I had to speed up
our game plan a little bit and introduce our final two team members, who
joined us in the ring that night for the assist and reveal as members
of Team Hogan. Thats right!! Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam not only came to
our aid but also are joining Team Hogan alongside Jeff Jarrett and
myself to round out Team Hogan. I believe we have the strongest team
ever to compete in the Lethal Lockdown match. We will be victorious and
finally put Flair and his teammates down for good. It will happen April
18 in St. Louis.
Lockdown to this Monster has always had a
special meaning. Being one of the TNA originals, I’ve been here for over
seven years and have competed in every Lockdown pay per view event in
company history. As a matter of fact, my favorite memory and perhaps my
favorite match of all time was the very first Lockdown pay per view
event held in Orlando back in 2005. It was my first main event slot on a
Sunday pay per view ever. It was against AJ Styles and we tore the
house down that night. Like I said, to this day, it’s one of my favorite
matches ever. It seems like just yesterday which goes to show how fast
time goes when your having the time of your life. This year’s Lockdown
is primed and ready to go and provide countless memorable moments. I can
hardy wait to get to St. Louis. Hopefully I get a chance to see you all
in St. Louis. Don’t forget about the fanfest on Saturday April 17. Join
us for that if you can as it is always a great afternoon of hanging out
with the TNA roster and getting up close and personal with all of us!
By
now, I’m sure you’ve all heard the big news. TNA is moving to 8 - 10 PM
on Monday’s nights permanently!! That’s right, the show now begins at 8
pm ET. I think this is an incredible move and will allow ALL of our
fans to enjoy the greatest wrestling product in the world....TNA
Wrestling. As always, we thank you ALL for your support and don’t
forget to spread the word to all your friends about our big move to
Monday nights and to 8 PM.
Well everyone, that’s all for this
week. Tune in next week for the final Monster blog before the big
Lockdown Pay per view. I’ll have some found memories to share with you
regarding past Lockdown matches of mine and others. Take care everyone
and I’ll talk to you next week. Bye bye.
