WrestleMania Thoughts
I
thought that it wouldn’t have hurt to give Big Show & Miz Vs John
Morrison & R-Truth a bit more time for their match (It seemed like 5
minutes) but it was good while it lasted.
Thankfully Randy Orton Vs Cody Rhodes Vs Ted Dibiase was kept fairly short.
It was okay. Randy Orton booted Cody in the head and pinned Dibiase... after hitting the RKO.
I
liked the MITB match and I thought that the right guy won - Jack
Swagger takes the briefcase after hitting Christian in the face with it
on top of the ladders.
I think Jack Swagger has a ton of potential
and I hope this means he will be getting a decent push in the near
future. He reminds me of an early Kurt Angle or Brock Lesnar.
Triple
H Vs Sheamus was pretty much how I expected it to be... I didn't enjoy
the match personally... Triple H won with the pedigree.
I would have trimmed some time off this match
Rey Mysterio Vs CM Punk was a good match, with a few nice spots in.
Rey Mysterio won the match after a 619 and splash off the ropes.
Bret
Hart finally got his storyline revenge on Vince McMahon - beating him
with the Sharpshooter after a lot of punches, kicks and weapon shots.
Considering
how little they were able to do in the match, I think they could have
had Vince McMahon Vs Bret Hart end a little sooner but it was great to
see Bret and Vince working together and maybe putting the Montreal
Screwjob to rest at last.
I really liked the Chris Jericho Vs
Edge match and I was pleasantly surprised to see Chris Jericho retain
the Heavyweight Championship.
Edge speared Chris Jericho through the Barricade outside the ring which looked nasty.
Beth, Mickie, Kelly, Gail, Eve Vs Michelle, Layla, Vicky, Alicia, Maryse
…. This was horrible, especially everything Vicky did and they had her do way too much.
Vicky
and Kelly messed up the end, you know the part when one wrestler pins
the other’s shoulders to the mat for a count of 3? Yeah, that bit. They
managed to mess that up.
If only they left most of the work to Beth or Gail and Maryse, it would have been a lot better than this.
Batista
Vs John Cena was for the most part what you would expect from these
two, although it was a much better match than the one they had at
Summerslam.
John Cena made Batista tap out to win the WWE Title
The
Undertaker and Shawn Michaels had an amazing match. Incredible. I am so
pleased that this was the main event because it was the best match, as I
knew it would be.
Undertaker pinned Shawn and it’s so sad to see Shawn leave.
Shawn Michaels is a true legend and one of the greatest performers of all time.
Overall, I felt this was a really good WrestleMania and I enjoyed it far more than I have the last few WrestleManias.
