TNA LOCKDOWN 2010 - Behind The Scenes

TNA started off the show with our hosts being introduced, Jeremy Borash and So Cal Val. The wrestlers showed up a bit late, but they countered that when they stayed for extra time at the end. First off, Jeremy and Val joked with each other a bit.
They introduced the right side of the wall first which were the wrestlers that weren't the top dogs. Then they introduced on the left side of the wall, with Abyss, who got a decent cheer. Then Eric Bischoff...

Abyss - Monster Blog 18.4.2010

Ya know, this time of year is one of my favorites for many reasons. The sun is out, things are warming up quite nicely from the cold winter I experienced, the trees are all covered in leaves, all the birds that ran south for the winter are returning, AND its LOCKDOWN time here in TNA. This is one of my favorite pay per view events of the year for several reasons. First and foremost, the level of violence and brutality that is e...

Interview with Rob Van Dam

If there's one thing you can say about Rob Van Dam is that he does not lack confidence. You can see it in the way he walks and in the way he talks. It's just a part of his laid-back lifestyle which he fills with positive energy. So it's no doubt that he believes big things are ahead for himself and TNA Wrestling since joining the company on March 8.

Many fans are thrilled to see RVD and his unique, high-flying arsenal back in the ring a...

Daniel Bryan strikes back at Michael Cole

"Yes, I am a vegan, and no, it is not pronounced vee-jan… nor is it pronounced vee-jan in any part of the world. Michael Cole simply mispronounced it on NXT, and I assume he doesn’t know what it means.

- Speaking of which, I’m fascinated by Michael Cole’s commentary. For all of his talk of me being a computer geek, I suspect I spend less time on the internet than just about anyone in the WWE, including him. The only reas...

Did I think that in 1996 that HBK would eventually wind up his career as arguably the greatest in ring performer of his generation? Honestly, no. Shawn's life style was rather controversial at that time and did not lend itself to having a long, illustrious career. Thank goodness that Shawn made dynamic and distinctive changes in his life which then propelled him to the rarefied air of greatness in the pro wrestling biz. More importantly than re-establishing hi...

This unfortunate setback brings an end to Melina's successful reign as champion, a title she has held since she debuted on ...

Q.---What is your opinion on the WWE Hall of Fame and would you accept an induction?

A.---Not much and no. Obviously, they have not been beating my door down nor do I expect them to, but here's my feelings. It started as a WWF Hall of Fame just so they could have a dinner before Wrestlemania. Vince picked who he wanted to put in it, and only WWF stars or personnel made it, so you got James Dudley (Vince Sr.'s limo driver). Bruno Sammartino is still not in. Then...

Q.---What is your opinion on Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff signing with TNA?

A.---Oh, this whole thing reminds me of why I hate corporate wrestling. I must admit there are bright spots, like imagining Vince McMahon's face and blood pressure when he heard the news, or hearing Hogan bitchslap Vince Russo by saying they'd be OK if "he stays in his place." Can TNA make their minds up, LAST month everybody had to be "100% behind Russo's creative direction" and THIS m...

Lance Cade was released again last week by World Wrestling Entertainment. He was re-hired this past October, but was conspicuously never used sans a one-off appearance in developmental.

The reason for his prolonged absence from both television as well as developmental was because he had asked to enter a rehabilitation facility after going through withdrawal symptoms from pain medication and couldn't sleep, which resulted in the former tag team champion being hooked on sleeping pills.
