Chris Jericho recently sat down with Matt and Drew of Ring Rap Audio to promote his new book Undisputed: How to Become the World Champion in 1,372 Easy Steps. Here are some quick highlights from the interview:

On leaving WWE in 2005 compared to leaving in 2010: "When I left wrestling in 2005 I was in a different place. I was very disenchanted with my work in the WWE, I wasn't happy with what I was doing with myself, personally. It had nothing to do with anything that was booked or whatever...

"So when I left the WWE this time, in 2010, it wasn't for any bad things, it's just that once again Fozzy was back in, we had a lot of stuff going on with the band, and I knew the book was coming out and I had a lot of work to do with that, and you know the WWE is a place where you have to be 100% committed to it mentally. 110 percent, and if you're not, you need to step aside and let someone else that is committed 110 percent take over, and that's what I wanted to do... I'm not really off, I'm just doing other things."

On returning to wrestling: "Will I go back to the WWE? I'm not sure. I mean, I don't really have and time lines or schedules, but I'm sure when the time is right I'm sure things will work out again."

On some TNA talent he would like to work with in the future: "TNA has a lot of great guys, and I'd like to see some of them come to the WWE and work with them there, cause they would get a different view on what the business is about and a different view on how good things can be. You know AJ Styles is great, and I'm a big Samoa Joe fan, you know any of those guys, I'll work with anybody."

On Chris Benoit and how his matches with Benoit have been "erased": "It's a shame. When I was putting together my DVD, at first I said 'Well jeez, what am I gonna put on here? I have so many great matches with Benoit that I can't show anymore. But then you go into it and you see that there was probably about 50 matches we could've put on there, I just didn't have enough room." He continues, "I don't blame the WWE for not showing those matches or not letting them be viewed at this point because what happened was a huge blow to the industry as well, it almost took the whole business down. If I was Vince (McMahon) I probably wouldn't want those matches to be around or hear that name or see that face anymore either. It doesn't bother me as much as you might think it would."

There's plenty more to hear from Chris during this short interview. He talks about what lies in his future, what Fozzy has been doing recently, what he did during his first break from professional wrestling, what it was like making his WWE debut in 1999 (and how things didn't quite work out the way he wanted them to), the message he sent to WWE before he re-signed, and much much more. It's an excellent interview from one of the biggest stars in professional wrestling.
