Ken Shamrock appeared very unwell during last Saturday's "Legends of the Ring" convention in Monroe, New Jersey. This is because he recently came down with MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) while taking care of his son, who had been hospitalized for a week due to the same bacterial infection.
For the safety of himself and others, the 47-year-old Ken Shamrock was asked by doctors to withdraw from his scheduled mixed martial arts fight for World Extreme Fighting last month. He was also placed on antibiotics for several weeks.
