Mick Foley was recently interviewed by Monday Night Mayhem radio show and these are some highlights:
Mick
Foley says he would like to be inducted into WWE's Hall of Fame when
WWE returns to Madison Square Garden in New York City. "In a perfect
world, I would get inducted in The Garden in 2013. I'll be willing to
stay of TV until 2013 just to get inducted there, but what I might do is
John Laurinaitis and ask if I could do a house show, just so I could
hear my music and get a pop," Foley said on the Monday Night Mayhem radio show this week.
WrestleMania in 2013 would be WrestleMania 29. It's believed WWE would
host WrestleMania 30 in New York City to continue the tradition of
"milestone" WrestleManias (1, 10, and 20) in the Garden.
Mick
Foley also said that he's fulfilled by his charity work with RAINN, but
he would like to return to WWE since he needs the money. "The charity
stuff is emotionally rewarding. It's not financially rewarding. My wife
has made it kind of clear that my days of donated 100 percent of book
sales needs to come to an end. In this economic environment, you really
have go out and make some money as long as there is some demand for what
you do," Foley said on the Monday Night Mayhem radio show this week.
Foley added, "I think being with the WWE would help me out in these
endeavors I do. I think they did a great job of keeping me relevant for
years through the miracle of DVD's, action figures, &and appearances
on their show, so I think they can help me in these pursuits. I also
think there a lot of ways I can help out, whether it be with younger
wrestlers, as an ambassador, or appearing on the TV show once in a
while. Without knocking TNA or Impact Wrestling, because I did enjoy a
lot of my time there, WWE has more ways guys can make a contribution
that doesn't include being a major part of their TV show."
