Sheamus recently spoke to HollywoodLife.com promoting WrestleMania and answered questions about his match with Daniel Bryan, the winner of Rock vs. John Cena and some pop culture questions. Check out the highlights:
On his match with Daniel Bryan: "For two up and coming superstars, we are looking to steal the show! We are hungry and we have spent a lot of time getting to where we are today. Whether it was on the independent scene where we scratched and clawed, we want to be where John Cena and The Rock are, we want to be where The Undertaker and Triple H are, so you are looking at two guys who really want to go out there and steal the show!"
On who will win between Rock and John Cena: "Its always controversial to pick the winner and a hard thing to do but I honestly think that John Cena is going to come up the winner on April 1st. Both of them are icons, both are legends, both have achieved so much. Cena is here night and day and I think that will take its toll on The Rock who has been back for one match. But Cena is the one without the ring rust and the one who I think will win at WrestleMania."
On who he would want to play a romantic interest opposite him in a WWE Film: "The girl that was in Zombieland, Emma Stone. She seems like a lot of fun. She would have a good laugh and she seems down to earth. That is what you really want, you definitely want someone that you'd enjoy to be around. I think Emma Stone would be the one."
On his favorite actors and filmmakers: "I love Johnny Depp, I am really looking forward to the next Tim Burton film Dark Shadows. I love Tim Burton's films. I also love Robert Downey Jr. The Sherlock Holmes films are brilliant! So I would those are my favorite actors and the best actors in Hollywood at the moment."
On what he loves most about his fans: "Fans that come to our shows, its funny I never thought I would see the day where kids are dying their hair red and drawing fake orange mustaches. Its funny, when I was a kid I wanted to be anything but a red head and now all the kids are dying their hair. Its really cool! I'm bringing ginger back."
Sheamus recently spoke with IrishCentral.com about wanting to make his career a Hall of Fame-worthy one, his match at WrestleMania with Daniel Bryan and more. Check out the highlights:
On his match at WrestleMania: "This will probably be the biggest night of my life. Bryan is very tricky. He's quite talented, a smaller guy but very tough and aggressive. He's quicker than I am, but all I need is one second to catch him with my brogue kick. A size 13 boot to the face has done wonders for my winning streak!"
On his change in persona to a babyface: "Well, I'm still a big Irish brute. (laughs) But Bryan's not going to be champion much longer when I get my hands on him."
On his career: "My WWE career has been amazing. It took a lot of time for me to get here, and you never stop paying your dues. I'm never satisfied with what I've achieved. I want to create a legacy for myself, like those who are going to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this weekend. The way you do that is by wining championships and staying hungry and focused."
On the pressure to perform at a main event level: "I seriously love what I do. I'm hoping that my career lasts another 10 years minimum, so after 10 or 15 years I can chill out and relax."
On his family's thoughts on his career: "My family watches all the time. They actually love the WWE. They don't just follow my matches. They watch it all."
On his family wanting to leave Ireland: "She keeps asking me if she can be my personal assistant or PR girl or something. She is desperate to get out of Ireland. It's really a shame. When I left in 2001 the country just started to go south a bit, and it's been tough on a lot of people. They are the ones paying for the mistakes of a small minority who had all the money. It's depressing and really terrible."
On his action figure: "It's not too bad. They took a camera and went 360 degrees around my head."
On John Cena vs. The Rock: "No one could be brave enough to call that one. I've gotten punched in the face before by Cena. His hands are like rocks. He can take a beating and come back."
