TNA Impact Wrestling 24.5.2012
Gail Kim & Madison Rayne Vs Eric Young & ODB
Rob Van Dam Vs Gunner
TV Title: Devon Vs Garett Bischoff
Bully Ray / Joseph Park in-ring segment
TNA Gut Check: Joey Ryan Vs Austin Aries
World Championship: Robert Roode Vs AJ Styles
Hogan is backstage with Hardy, Bully Ray, Angle and Styles and he asks them to each explain why they should get a chance to beat Roode for the TNA World Championship tonight on impact.
Everyone pleads their case for being the most deserving of becoming No.1 contender.
Hogan listens to their arguments and he says while he believes everyone in the room has the ability to beat Roode, he eventually eliminates Bully Ray because he has never won a world title before and he has only been a singles wrestler for the last year. Bully Ray asks him if he feels that was the right decision and walks out when Hogan says it was, after telling him “Eric was right about you”.
Gail Kim comes to the ring with Madison Rayne to challenge Eric Young and ODB, the Knockouts Tag Champions…. But strangely the titles were not up for grabs in this match…
Gail Kim & Madison Vs Eric Young & ODB
This was just a short comedy match. Madison Rayne tripped ODB and held her legs from outside the ring, which enabled Gail Kim to get the pinfall.
Rob Van Dam comes to the ring and calls out Gunner, who was responsible for putting him out of the company in January for three months.
Rob Van Dam Vs Gunner
RVD finally gets revenge by pinning Gunner after hitting the Five Star Frog Splash from quite a distance in the ring, after a short match.
TV Title: Devon Vs Garett Bichoff
TV Champion Devon comes to the ring and calls out Garett and challenges him as Garett eliminated him in the battle royal last week.
During the match, Robbie E and Rob Terry jump into the ring and attack both Devon and Garett, causing a double disqualification.
Robbie E wants the TV Title back….
Hogan is backstage with Angle, Hardy and Anderson as he tries to find the right person to challenge AJ Styles for the World Championship later tonight.
Hogan says that he wants the most dependable guy to face Roode and eliminates Jeff Hardy…
Hogan says that he wants to know what the fans feel before he chooses either Kurt Angle or AJ Styles.
Bully /Ray / Joseph Park in-ring segment.
Bully Ray gets in the ring and asks people if they know who he is. He says that Hogan must have forgotten who he is because he was the first one Hogan eliminated. Bully Ray turns his attention to Joseph Park who is sitting in the crowd with fans. Bully Ray says that he is sick of seeing him and calls Joseph into the ring.
Joseph hesitantly steps into the ring and tells Bully that all he wanted was the truth about his brother Abyss and all the proof he gathered lead to Bully Ray. Joseph Park asks the fans if they think Bully Ray is guilty and they think he is. Bully Ray attacks Joseph with his chain and leaves him laying, before saying “Not guilty” on the microphone and leaving the ring.
Joey Ryan talks about his passion for being a pro wrestler and his love for pro wrestling since childhood.
Kurt Angle says that he is looking forward to working with Mo Lawal when he joins TNA and he will be going to the ring with him for his fights on Bellator Fighting.
TNA Gut Check: Joey Ryan Vs Austin Aries
Aries won the match with an excellently executed Brainbuster after a short match. It was difficult to tell how good Joey Ryan was in the ring in such a short amount of time.
Hulk Hogan / AJ Styles / Kurt Angle in-ring Segment
Hogan says that as Styles knows the champion more than Angle does, he is giving him the chance tonight….
If Roode holds onto the World Championship tonight, he will become the longest reigning TNA champion of all time, surpassing AJ Styles’ current record.
World Championship Title Match: Robert Roode Vs AJ Styles
Great work from both Roode and Styles, who really have a great main event match. Hogan is seen backstage as he gets a call to say that his guest has arrived before we go into the break…
Roode beat AJ Styles with a perfect Fisherman’s Suplex, after Kazarian and Daniels appeared on the ramp and caused a distraction for Styles.
Confetti falls from the ceiling on Roode as he celebrates being the longest champion in the history of the company.
Hogan walks down the ramp with and congratulates Roode before the lights go out. When they return, Sting is revealed as Hogan’s special guest.
Sting attacks Roode and sends him over the top rope with a clothesline.
Hogan announces that next week for TNA’s first live Impact, he is going to start the show by surrounding the ring with TNA wrestlers for a Lumberjack match between Bobby Roode and Sting.
Overall, this was a fair week of TNA Impact Wrestling.
Most of the matches didn’t get much time, but it had a really good main event.
TNA Impact Wrestling 31.5.2012
Lumberjack Match: Bobby Roode Vs Sting
Bully Ray / Joseph Park
Austin Aries Vs Chris Sabin
TV Title: Devon Vs Jeff Hardy
Joey Ryan’s Gut Check
AJ Styles Vs Chris Daniels
This is the first LIVE Thursday TNA Impact Wrestling from Orlando Florida on Spike TV
Lumberjack Match: Bobby Roode Vs Sting
It’s always good to see Sting and I think TNA hoped he would help draw a big rating for their first live Thursday Impact Wrestling which is now in a new timeslot in the US, an hour earlier each week.
They had an exciting match to start the show off with a bang. The crowd was really into the action.
Sting reverses a vertical suplex and surprises Roode with a Scorpion Death Drop. Sting quickly slaps on the Scorpion Deathlock and makes Roode tap out.
Hogan appears and says that Roode will defend the World Championship against Sting at TNA’s Slammiversary PPV on June 10th, Arlington, Tx
Bully Ray / Joseph Park Segment
Bully Ray calls out Joseph Park, who is eating popcorn in the crowd and tells the people in the truck to roll footage of his chain-assisted attack last week. Bully Ray says he wants to fight him now and calls him into the ring. Bully Ray confesses to leaving his brother Abyss for dead and threatens to sue Joseph to save himself from a beating. Joseph challenges Bully Ray, who agrees to fight him him at Slammiversary.
Austin Aries Vs Chris Sabin
I wish this could have lasted a lot longer, the action in this was excellent.
Aries won the match with a smooth victory roll after a stunning set of reversals.
Backstage, Hogan thanks Taz for his work on Gut Check and tell him to save this guy if he thinks he deserves it…
Al Snow, Bruce Prichard and Taz are backstage watching videos on Joey Ryan…. Taz says that what bothered him was that Austin Aries was picked as him opponent, but he didn’t look like he was about to be in a fight. Bruce Prichard likes what he sees in Joey and Al Snow thinks he has potential too.
Dixie Carter is inside the ring and says that next week they will announce the very first entrant into TNA’s Hall Of Fame. Dixie then introduces Brooke Hogan as the executive in charge of the Knockouts Division.
Dixie puts Brooke over before Brooke thanks the fans for accepting her and says she will work hard….
Brooke looks more like her father every time I see her.
Fans have been voting during the week on TNAwrestling.com for who they want to face Devon for the TV Title. The choices were Jeff Hardy, Rob Van Dam, Robbie E & Mr Anderson.
The super-over Jeff Hardy won with over 40% of the vote….
TV Title: Devon Vs Jeff Hardy
Some nice chain wrestling between these two veterans to start what was developing into a good match before it quickly ended when Robbie E pushed Jeff Hardy off the top rope before both Robbies attack both Jeff and Devon. The match is thrown out before Devon and Hardy are able to fight back and clear the ring of both Robbies.
James Storm video promo. Storm says he loves being at home with his family. He says that it upset him to know that he let everybody down by not beating Roode for the World Title.
Joey Ryan in TNA Gut Check segment with Taz, Bruce Prichard, Al Snow
Bruce Prichard says yes, Al Snow says no and Taz says no. Joey Ryan challenges Taz’s decision and Taz tells him to make his way back into the company and earn his spot. They seem to be playing this as some kind of shoot, but it all looks like a good work to me. Even the way they had Hogan backstage with Taz earlier on Impact, telling him to be himself and thanking him for doing Gut Check. Joey Ryan was great here, I thought he showed a ton of charisma and great promo skills.
AJ Styles Vs Christopher Daniels
Can these guys ever have a bad match against one another? Great work here as always. This was excellent.
Styles scores the winning fall after hitting a picture-perfect springboard moonsault reverse DDT.
Kazarian attacks Styles after the bell before Kurt Angle runs to the ring to even the odds. Angle takes them both down and holds Kazarian in the ankle lock. Daniels jumps him from behind and they tie Angle to the bottom rope. Kazarian and Daniels lay them out with belt shots.
Daniels gets a microphone and says that he has further proof of the affair between AJ Styles and Dixie Carter and plays an audio message of Dixie and Styles having a “personal” conversation, but they didn’t really say anything which couldn’t be explained as innocent if they wanted to.
Dixie Carter appears and starts yelling for the producer to stop the tape as Impact Wrestling goes off air…..
This was a good Impact, although apart from the main event, none of the matches got a good amount of time. The in-ring quality of the action in TNA is amazing, now we just need a lot more quantity!
TNA Impact Wrestling 7.6.2012
Dixie Carter & AJ Styles / Kazarian & Chris Daniels Segment
Austin Aries Vs Crimson
Hogan / Roode / Sting Segment
Bully Ray / Joseph Park Segment
TV Title: Devon Vs Robbie E
Fatal 4-Way: Mickie Vs Tara Vs Brooke Vs Velvet
Kurt Angle, Sting & AJ Styles Vs Kazarian, Chris Daniels & Bobby Roode
Dixie is storming into the production area backstage after Impact last week and yelling at David Sahadi for playing the video of her and Styles.
Dixie Carter is in the ring with the microphone. She cries and says that she doesn’t want to hurt anyone and that she is going to tell the truth. Daniels and Kazarian enter the ring and they tell Dixie that she had AJ fill a hole in her heart that her husband Serge couldn’t fill. Daniels says that she wanted to get away with it, but she has been caught. Dixie pushes and slaps her hands at Daniels, who pushes her down and warns her not to put her hands on him again. AJ Styles runs down and clears the ring. Dixie’s husband gets into the ring to check on Dixie and he nails Styles with a big right hand before he leaves. Styles and Dixie walk out of the ring and down the ramp together.
Crimson makes his way to the ring….
Backstage, Samoa Joe asks Austin Aries if he is disrespecting by having the water bottle. Aries says that Joe would know about it if he was trying to disrespect him and hands him the water bottle before he heads to the ring….
Austin Aries Vs Crimson
Aries looks impressive in the ring as always and does some great things in this match. As Taz rightly points out, everything he does is so crisp.
Samoa Joe sweeps Aries on the ring apron behind the referee’s back, leading to Crimson covering a a downed Aries for the 3 count.
Crimson says that he has been undefeated for 468 days and issues an open challenge for Slammiversary…
Hulk Hogan is walking around backstage and tells Brooke that she should be careful….
Brooke goes into the Knockouts Locker room to find Mickie, Tara, Velvet, and Miss Tessmacher. Brooke thanks them for working with her and says that she is putting them in a four corners match tonight to find the No.1 contender for the Knockouts Title.
Before she leaves, Brooke says she found Velvet Sky a part on a new music video and will keep looking for other media opportunities for all of the knockouts. Mickie James looks a little annoyed that she wasn’t the one chosen for the music video or this could have just been her real animosity for Brooke showing through, I’m not sure.
Hulk Hogan comes to the ring to push Slammiversary this Sunday and announces a TNA World Title match next week on Impact, whether the champion is Roode or Sting after Sunday.
Roode interrupts Hogan and tells him to show some respect for TNA’s World Champion. He says Hogan ruined his celebration for becoming the longest ever TNA Champion, forced him to wrestle a lumberjack match against Sting last week and now he has to defend the Title on Sunday as well as Impact next week. Roode grabs Hogan before Sting heads to the ring to make the save..
Sting no-sells Roode’s offence and attacks Roode, sending him feeing from the ring.
Joseph Park is backstage and says that he’s looking for a little bit of justice at Slammiversary….
No.1 Contenders Fatal 4 Way: Mickie James Vs Tara Vs Miss Tessmacher Vs Velvet Sky
Gail Kim does a great job on commentary during the match. Taz has sounded a lot more enthusiastic on commentary over the last few months which has added a lot to Impact.
This was a pretty good match. Tessmacher pinned Mickie James after hitting a Wheelbarrow Slam.
Hulk Hogan is backstage on his phone demanding that AJ Styles get back to the building as he is booked in the main event tonight….
Bully Ray tells Joseph that they are not having a standard wrestling match so he has a new contract which relieves him of liability if he breaks him arm, snaps his knee, breaks his neck or gouges out one of his eyes.
He produces a new contract for Joseph to sign, but he refuses to sign it. Bully Ray offers to shake his hand and then spits in his face and calls him a coward. Joseph says that he’s going to do it for his brother, Abyss and signs the contract.
Abyss appears on the video screen and says they are both going to find out just how alive he is at Slammiversary…. Bully Ray makes a sneak attack on Park and leaves the ring…
Backstage, Garett Bischoff asks Devon if he can watch his back tonight in his match with Robbie E. Devon says that he likes what he sees in Garett and agrees to have him in his corner.
Mike Tenay asks Taz about The Gut Check last week and Joey Ryan and asks Taz if he has changed his mind, but Taz says that he likes his character, but thinks he needs to improve in the ring.
Joey Ryan is backstage talking bad about Taz when Al Snow comes along and forces him out of the building.
TV Title: Devon (With Garett Bischoff) Vs Robbie E (With Robbie T)
Madison Rayne appears on the ramp and watches the match….
Robbie T trips Devon from the outside. Garett helps Devon reverse a small package to get the win and retain the TV Title.
Hulk Hogan calls out Anderson, RVD and Hardy and tells them that the winner of their 3-way match at Slammiversary will face the World Champion for the Title next week on Impact.
Sting, Kurt Angle & AJ Styles Vs Bobby Roode, Kazarian & Chris Daniels
AJ Styles arrives late into the match to help his team.
Sting traps Roode in the Scorpion Deathlock and forces Roode to tap out for the second week in a row. Impact Zone was really into the match and it was a pretty good 6 man tag.
Overall, this was an average edition of TNA Impact.
TNA Impact 14th June 2012
Ultimate X: Austin Aries Vs Zema Ion Vs Chris Sabin
Hulk Hogan / Austin Aries Segment
TV Title: Devon Vs Hernandez
BFG Series Rumble: RVD, Jeff Hardy, Samoa Joe, Magnus,
AJ Styles, Kurt Angle, The Pope, James Storm, Robbie E,
Chris Daniels & Bully Ray
Miss Tessmacher Vs Madison Rayne
TNA World Title: Bobby Roode Vs Mr Anderson
Sting Segment
Ultimate X: Austin Aries Vs Zema Ion Vs Chris Sabin
This was a great way to kick off Impact Wrestling. Great action in this match, but such a shame to see Sabin injured here. He tried to continue the match at some point, but was in too much pain and had to roll out again. It turned out that he tore one of his ACL ligaments again and will be out of action up to 9 months.
Austin Aries won the match.
Hulk Hogan / Austin Aries Segment
Hogan comes to the ring to congratulate Austin Aries. He says that if Aries wants a shot at the World Title at Destination X, he would have to relinquish his X Division Title. Hogan wants his response next week.
Interesting segment.
TV Title: Devon Vs Hernandez
Devon scores the pin after a Spinebuster in what was a short match.
Bound For Glory Series Gauntlet Battle Royal
Rob Van Dam, Jeff Hardy, Samoa Joe, Magnus, AJ Styles, Kurt Angle, Chris Daniels, Bully Ray, The Pope, James Storm, Robbie E
20 points for the winner of this mini Rumble match.
This was pretty good… So much happening, I need to watch it again sometime.
James Storm “Skins the cat” and eliminates Samoa Joe to win.
Bully Ray / Joseph Park Segment
Brooke Hogan / Gail Kim Segment
Miss Tessmacher Vs Madison Rayne
Tessmacher wins a very, very short match which still managed to kinda clumsy.
TNA World Title: Bobby Roode Vs Mr Anderson
This was a good match, could have been better with more time. Roode wins the match clean with the Crippler Crossface.
AJ Styles / Dixie Carter backstage
Dixie wants to “come clean” with AJ Styles on Impact Wrestling next week and that all of the rumours have to stop. Styles agrees before they hug.
Sting TNA video package.
Sting comes to the ring following the announcement that he would be the first inductee into TNA’s HOF next year. During his thank you speech, he is attacked by 3 guys wearing masks.
Impact fades off air as the fans in the Impact Zone chant for Hogan, of all people….
Overall, this was a good edition of TNA Impact. I’m not sure that the short matches do much for the ones involved, but with a limited amount of TV time and wanting to get as many people on the show as possible, I guess this is a necessity.
TNA Impact Wrestling 21.6.2012
Hulk Hogan / Austin Aries Segment
Mr Anderson Vs Chris Daniels
AJ Styles Vs Magnus
Tera Vs Taeler Hendrix
Samoa Joe Vs James Storm
The Pope Vs Bully Ray
KO Title: Miss Tessmacher Vs Mickie James
Rob Van Dam Vs Jeff Hardy
Hogan comes to the ring and tells Austin Aries that it’s time for him to make his decision.
Aries says that to be the man, you have to be the World Champion, but the X Division Championship is what the company was built on and he is afraid that if he hands the Title over it means nothing so the only way he will make the deal is if whoever is X Division Champion when Destination X comes around each year, they should get the same chance and opportunity that he has - to trade in the belt for a shot at the World Championship.
Hogan says that he likes the idea.
Roode walks down the ramp and tells Aries that the X Division Title means nothing to him and he has made the biggest mistake of his life.
Aries invites Roode to fight right away and they brawl at ringside until they are separated by officials.
This was a really good segment and I’m really looking forward to Roode Vs Aries at Destination X
Mr Anderson’s music hits and he says that he is putting both guys on notice because when he wins the Bound For Glory series, he is coming for the World Title….
Mr Anderson Vs Chris Daniels
Good, but short match. Mr Anderson pins Daniels after the mic check.
Mr Anderson scores 7 points in the BFG series.
Dixie Carter and AJ Styles are backstage and Dixie is convincing AJ that what they are about to do is the right thing….
Brooke Hogan is backstage with the knockouts…. Brooke is going to decide which one of the Knockouts gets a shot at the Knockout Championship later tonight. She thinks that Madison needs to focus more on wrestling and she is eliminated….
Robbie E comes to the ring and says that he isn’t afraid of anyone and wants to make an open challenge… which is answered by Kurt Angle.
Taeylor Hendrix talks about why she became a wrestler before her TNA Gut Check……
Magnus makes his way to the ring with a microphone and challenges AJ Styles to a match for sleeping with a married woman….
AJ Styles Vs Magnus
Magnus has improved in the ring a lot since he first joined TNA. This was a solid, but short match.
Daniels and Kazarian come to the ring during the match, causing a distraction and Magnus picks up the win with his version of a Michinoku Driver.
Magnus earns 7 points in the Bound For Glory Series.
Taeler Hendrix Vs Tera
I thought that Hendrix looked a little lost, a little left-footed here.
Bully Ray threatens Joseph Park backstage that if he sees him or Abyss one more time, it will be the last time….
Samoa Joe gets into the ring and calls out James Storm….
“Let’s go Cowboy! - Let’s Go Joe!” duelling chants during this solid, but short TV match.
These guys could really have a good match if they had the time to do it.
Storm wins the match clean with the Last Call Superkick. After the match, Samoa Joe hands Storm his own beer as a sign of respect and leaves the ring….
Styles tells Dixie backstage that he can’t keep living this way and they have to do what they have planned tonight….
Brooke Hogan is backstage again with the Knockouts…
Brooke eliminates ODB as she doesn’t think she is focused enough right now after her marriage to Eric Young….
Bully Ray challenges The Pope….
The Pope Vs Bully Ray
Abyss starts walking through the crowd during the match, which causes a distraction for Bully Ray, who is knocked out of the ring by Pope. Abyss chases Bully back into the ring, who walks into the Pope’s STO.
7 points for The Pope after the pinfall win.
After the match, Bully Ray runs away from a stalking Abyss….
Hogan tells Hardy and RVD that they are the biggest stars in the company and as no one chose to face them, they will be in the main event on Impact tonight. Yes!! It’s not very often these days that I look forward to watching something in wrestling, but I’m looking forward to watching this…..
Montgomery Gentry music video featuring Velvet Sky
I don’t know…. I can’t stand Country music lol Bring back the Smashing Pumpkins and do more videos with them, please!
Brooke Hogan is backstage with Velvet Sky and Mickie James. She says that as Velvet Sky got the video with Montgomery Gentry, she’s giving this Knockout Title match to Mickie James…
Knockout Title: Miss Tessmacher Vs Mickie James
This was a good knockout match. It’s amazing how much Tessmacher has improved since he joined TNA.
She took the clean pinfall on Mickie James after she counters a DDT attempt into a smooth Sunset Flip to retain her Championship.
Mickie James rolled out of the ring as soon as the ref counted to 3.… Was this in some kind of protest for doing the job to Tessmacher or was she just rolling out of the ring quickly after the match? I’m not sure.
Rob Van Dam Vs Jeff Hardy
This was a very good match, always great to see these guys in the ring against each other.
Jeff hits a Twist Of Fate for the clean pin much too soon into the match. Neither of these guys should be losing clean to anyone else in 5 minutes, that’s just not right. I loved the action in the match though.
Dixie Carter and AJ Styles enter the ring….
Dixie invites “Claire Lynch” into the ring. She takes the microphone and says that she went to Styles and Dixie with her drug problems and they helped her and kept it all secret.
The photo and the video of them sneaking around was Dixie and Styles trying to protect her and they have not been having an affair.
Daniels and Kazarian run into the ring, but Styles beats them down.
Styles hits a massive power bomb on Kazarian, who immediately looks up at AJ “What the F*** was THAT!?”…. which also mirrored my thoughts while I was watching most of this segment.
I’m sure there is a lot more to the angle to be revealed, but surely this couldn’t seem like good storyline progression here to anyone in the company, right? It was maybe the worst thing I’ve ever seen in the company as a segment by itself, let’s see if they can redeem themselves by making something logical and hopefully worthwhile come from it over the next few weeks…
Overall, this was a good week of Impact Wrestling.
TNA Impact Wrestling 28.6.2012
Rob Van Dam Vs Mr Anderson
Austin Aries / Robert Roode Segment
Sonjay Dutt Vs Rubix
Samoa Joe Vs Bully Ray
Mason Andrews Vs Rashad Cameron
Taeler Hendrix Gut Check
Tag Titles: Kurt Angle & AJ Styles Vs Chris Daniels & Kazarian
Bound For Glory Series
Rob Van Dam Vs Mr Anderson
Good match to start the show. RVD gets the clean win with a quick crucifix pin.
7 points for the Whole F’n Show
Austin Aries promo
Aries announces a Tournament for the X Division Title at Destination X featuring new X Division wrestlers. He talks about how one year ago he didn’t have a contract, he was given a chance and now he is going to main event a PPV.
Roode comes to the ring and tells Aries to look at the real World Championship and it’s the real world championship because he single handily made it that way.
Roode tells Aries to get out of his ring. Austin says that he thinks the ring belongs to him and if Roode wants him out of his own ring, then he should remove him from it.
Roode leaves the ring…..
Backstage, Claire says that she met Dixie at a party years before and that Daniels and Kaz have twisted the truth and turned it into something horrible.
Kazarian is yelling at Daniels backstage for making him turn against his friend and everything else they have been doing over the last few months. Daniels tries to talk to him, but Kazarian walks away.
X Division Tournament Qualifying Match
Sonjay Dutt Vs Rubix (Jigsaw)
Great to see Sonjay Dutt return to TNA and also to see Jigsaw finally on network TV, he has been in the business a long time and has a lot of talent.
Really exciting, fast-paced, high-flying match.
Sonjay wins the match after a Moonsault / double foot stomp from the top rope.
Christy interviews Sonjay after the match and he says that he never won the X Division Title when he was in TNA and that’s why he is back.
TNA Gut Check Segment
Taz, Prichard and Snow discuss Taeler Hendrix and her performance last week and her personality.
The general consensus seems to be that she could be something in the future.
Clip from last week of Bully Ray warning Joseph Park to stay away from him and the Impact Zone.
Bound For Glory Series
Samoa Joe Vs Bully Ray
This was a really good match. Leading to the finish, Joseph Park comes to the ring and slaps Bully Ray across the face before Joe catches Bully in a rear naked choke for the tap-out win.
Joseph Park gets the Mic and tells Bully Ray that he has been bullied throughout his life but it ends tonight.
Joseph asks Bully Ray for 2 weeks and he will be ready to face him in the ring on Impact to put an end to this once and for all.
Backstage, Claire and Dixie are being asked to explain the photos and phone calls that Daniels and Kaz have been showing. They explain these away as being innocent conversations and situations taken out of context and doctored to make everything look bad.
Kazarian walks into Hogan’s office and tells him that he has made a huge mistake by listening to Chris Daniels who was trying to ruin AJ Styles’ and Dixie Carter’s lives. He blames Chris Daniels for everything and says that he had no clue what was going on. He wants out of the tag match booked for later tonight as he doesn’t want to team with Daniels. Hogan tells him that he needs to take responsibility for his actions and even though he doesn’t want to team with Daniels tonight, the match is booked and it’s a chance for Kaz to be his own man and start again.
Garett Bischoff is backstage and Madison Rayne approaches him to talk about a crush she has…. She asks Garett what he’s like….. She whispers his name to him and Garett looks bemused and wishes her good luck with that….
Brooke Hogan is backstage with Tessmacher and Gail Kim.
Brooke books a rematch between them for next week on Impact.
Mason Andrews (Scorpio Sky) Vs Rashad Cameron (Sabian)
Sabian was on WWE TV the week before (against Ryback) and TNA TV here, that’s great.
Check out the contrast of how he was used in each company…..
Good fast-paced match, which Rashad Cameron won to advance in the X Division Tournament.
He cuts a strong little promo after the match.
Taeler Hendrix Gut Check in-ring Segment
Taz says yes. Al Snow says no. Joey Ryan appears at ringside to protest… Taz slaps the phone out of his hand and gets in his face. Joey Ryan repeatedly challenges Taz to hit him. Security escort Joey Ryan out of the building….
Jeremy Borash gives Tayler a chance to “Kick out” with a promo…
Bruce Prichard says yes…. Taeler is now on the TNA roster.
Personally, I wasn’t very impressed with her work, I would have passed. They all agreed that she needs a lot of work, but feel she has great potential.
Backstage, Kurt Angle tells Styles that he has a lot of respect for him as they get ready to defend their tag team titles.
Bound For Glory Leader Board
Storm 36
Joe 27
Angle 10
Anderson 9
RVD, Pope, Magnus, Hardy 7
Daniels 5
Ray, Robbie, Styles 0
TNA Tag Team Titles: Kurt Angle & AJ Styles Vs Chris Daniels & Kazarian
Excellent tag team match.
Kazarian played the part of the reluctant tag partner, even taking a chair away from Daniels at one point before he could use it on Styles. Kaz sneak-attacks Styles with the same chair only moments later and the
winners & new tag team champions - Daniels & Kazarian.
After the match, Daniels takes the microphone and announces that Claire (who is sitting in the front row with Dixie) is pregnant and the father of the baby is AJ Styles…..
I thought this was a very strong edition of Impact, which featured some great action. They did well to advance current angles, featured some good promos and also debuted some new X Division wrestlers.
