TNA Impact 27th October 2011

Impact starts with a James Storm video promo, talking about how happy he is to finally be World Champion.

James Storm comes down the ramp and into the ring and talks about how he used to watch wrestling with his dad, who passed away when he was 12 years old and thanks the fans for helping him to achieve it.
Roode, Styles and Kazarian come to the ring
James Storm says that he thinks Robert Roode was screwed out of his chance to become champion and he offers him the first opportunity at a Title shot.
Samoa Joe comes to the ring and says he used to be like them and congratulates Storm on becoming champion, but that he now sees them like Bischoff, as they are playing favourites. Joe wants Storm to give him a chance to take the Title.
Storm says that Samoa Joe lost at Bound For Glory and doesn't think he should have the chance before the other members of Fortune.
Sting comes out to settle the dispute.... Sting books Samoa Joe Vs Bobby Roode
Great opening segment

Chris Daniels backstage claims that he never gave up in his match with AJ Styles at Bound For Glory and that AJ Styles played him saying "I quit" over the house mic...

Rob Van Dam video package airs where he talks about wanting to be the World Champion, what he likes about working for TNA and how he believes in the product. He agrees with the fans who say that TNA have the best wrestlers, he puts over Matt Morgan, Abyss and talks about his strengths and what he brings to the business as well as how he helped in changing the business over the years. I have nothing but respect for RVD.

Chris Daniels Vs Rob Van Dam
Two of my very favourite wrestlers of all time working together for the first time.
During the match, AJ Styles joins Taz and Tenay on commentary
This was a great TV match.
Daniels gets DQ'd when he hits RVD with a tool box outside the ring. He pulls a screwdriver out to attack RVD, but AJ Styles runs to the ring and Chris Daniels escapes before Styles can catch him.

Karen Jarrett, Gail Kim, Traci and Madison come to the ring. Gail Kim cuts a good heel promo about wanting to be the centre of attention in TNA and wants to be treated like a main eventer.  Karen grants Gail Kim a shot at the Knockout Title against Velvet Sky.

Tera Vs Gail Kim
Good, but short TV match. I'd like to see a longer match between these two in the future, on PPV.
Gail Kim won the match by pinfall.

Jeff Hardy cuts a short backstage promo on his match with Bully Ray

TV Title Match: Eric Young Vs Robbie E
Very short match, which Eric Young won with a crucifix pin.
Rob Terry comes in after the match and knocks Eric down. They work on Eric before they leave the ring.
Eric Young gets the microphone "You punched me in the stomach, who does that?" LOL
Eric says that he is bringing in Ronnie from the Jersey Shore.

Backstage Kazarian asks Chris Daniels to end the fighting with AJ Styles, Daniels says that he will call him when he gets home and they can talk about it.

Bully Ray cuts a great backstage promo on Jeff Hardy.... "Rehab is for quitters"...

Highlight video package of Garrison Bischoff first helping his father and then turning against him...

Eric Bischoff comes to the ring and calls out his son, Garrison.
Although I'm not very interested in their feud, I have to admit that Eric cuts a great promo.
Eric says that unless Garrison applogises to him, he is going to kick his ass later tonight.
Backstage Ric Flair says if Eric doesn't slap the hell out of him, he will.

After the break, Ric Flair cuts a brilliant promo on Garrison backstage.

Video package on Jeff Hardy's return to TNA...

Jeff Jarrett comes to the ring and calls out Jeff Hardy. Hardy comes to the ring and they have a pull-apart brawl...
Bully Ray attacks Jeff Hardy from behind to start their match...

Jeff Hardy Vs Bully Ray
Good TV match. Jeff wins with the Swanton Bomb. After the match, Bully Ray and Jarrett beat down Hardy

Samoa Joe Vs Bobby Roode
These guys have a great TV match, which is no surprise as I've been a big fan of these guys for years.
Bobby Roode wins the match with an impressive Fisherman Suplex.

Eric Bischoff / Garrison Bischoff Segment
I didn't pay too much attention to this, but it looked like Garrison wouldn't apologise and Eric and Flair beat him down.

Overall I really enjoyed Impact Wrestling this week.
The last segment featuring the Bischoffs and Ric Flair should have taken place before the Roode / Joe match, I don't know what they were thinking putting that on last, but that's my only complaint about the whole show.
