TNA Lockdown 2012    15. April. 2012

Lethal Lockdown Match
Garett Bischoff, Austin Aries, AJ Styles, RVD,
Vs Gunner, Bully Ray, Chris Daniels, Kazarian, Eric Bischoff

Garett and Gunner start the match brawling until Bully Ray joins Gunner in the ring to make it two on one.
Aries even the odds soon after. The time in between each guy joining the match seems way too short.
Kazarian turns things around for his team when he hits the ring. Aj Styles follows soon after and takes out all three members of Eric's team until Bully Ray cuts him off.
Chris Daniels is in next to help his team. With the rest of his team down, Mr Anderson joins the match and takes out everyone on Eric's team.
Eric himself is the last guy for his team to join the cage. Eric holds Garett while the rest of his team take turns in taking shots at him.
The final guy on Garett's team is the returning Rob Van Dam who clears house as soon as he hits the ring.
Great to see him return.
The ceiling of the cage, which has weapons hanging from it, lowers and Garett's team take control of the weapons and beat down their foes.
Eric hides for a while, but he is eventually caught. Rob Van Dam almost hits the 5 Star Frog Splash on Eric, but Gunner makes the save.
Bully Ray launches Aries into the cage, Aj Styles kicks Kazarian from the top of the cage and RVD hits the 5 Star Frog Splash on him. RVD hits the Van Daminator on Bully Ray. Chris Daniels hits the Angel's Wings on RVD.
Eric beats on his son with a kendo stick "You son of a bitch, I told you!" The match was going really well until this point. This just killed it.
Per the stipulations of this match, if Eric's team lose, he will have to leave TNA and stop using his name.
Garett Bischoff hits his father over the head with a guitar and pins him to get the win for his team.

I liked a lot of the action in this match, but I hated the involvement of Garett and Eric.  The Garett push is way too much. RVD, AJ Styles and Austin Aries - no one else in this match should  be playing second-fiddle to Garett.
If they plan to get the kid over by pushing him down everyone's throats, well I don't know if that's going to work.
I personally find it really frustrating to watch.
I'm sure Eric isn't leaving TNA for real, so I guess he's no longer going to be a character on TNA anymore. I guess he's going to stop commentating on Xplosion each week with Jeremy Borash.
I'm sure Eric is still going to use his own name, that stipulation may be a really difficult one for him to do.
What a random stipulation.

Tag Team Titles
Samoa Joe & Brutus Magnus Vs MCMG

It's great to see Chris Sabin back and I thought this was a really good tag match. Joe and Magnus won the match clean with their Snap Mere / Top Rope Elbow combo after a hard hitting tag war.
I look forward to watching a rematch.

TV Title
Devon Vs Robbie E

Devon looks in better shape than ever before. This match didn't last too long and Devon won with a big Spinebuster. After the match, Big RObbie jumps into the ring and attacks Devon. Both Robbies leave Devon laying in the ring.

Matt Morgan tells Crimson that tonight the cage is a prison cell and he is going to make Crimson his little red-headed bitch....

Knockout Tag Title
Gail Kim Vs Velvet Sky

This was a fair match. Madison Rayne came down and cost Velvet the KO Title.

Ric Flair comes to the ring and says he's pissed off at Hogan for taking Bischoff out of the company. Hogan comes to the ring and tells him if Flair has a problem with him, he should do something about it. Flair tells him now he's really pissed off and takes off his jacket to fight. Hogan floors him with a punch and leaves the ring. Flair returns to his feet and calls for Hogan to return to the ring to fight, but Hogan keeps walking down the ramp
Flair elbow drops his jacket and goes crazy.

Matt Morgan Vs Crimson

This match lost my attention at times, but I guess it was okay. Matt Morgan gets his foot trapped in the ropes after falling from the cage and Crimson climbs up and over to escape the cage and win the match.

Kurt Angle Vs Jeff Hardy
This was a great match. Considering that both guys went into this match with injuries, what they did here was amazing.
Leading to the finish, Jeff Hardy hit two normal Swanton Bombs but Angle kicked out. Hardy climbed hit a Super Swanton on Angle from the top of the cage to get the win.

Knckout Tag Team Titles
ODB & Eric Young Vs Sarita & Rosita

I found it difficult to pay attention to this match, I'm not sure why. It didn't look very good from what I saw.

TNA World Title
Bobby Roode Vs James Storm
They brawl around the ringside area and James Storm is busted open before they get into the cage.
For the finish, James Storm accidentally knocks Roode through the door of the steel cage and to the floor with the Last Call Superkick. As Roode was out of the cage, he had won the match and retained the TNA World Title.

I thought this was a very good match. I liked the finish and look forward the Storm's rematch for the Title.

Overall, I thought Lockdown was okay. Angle Vs Hardy was a great match. Roode Vs Storm was a great match. Everything else was just okay.
There was some moments of greatness in the Lethal Lockdown match, but the involvement of Garett and Eric ruined it somewhat for me.
