My WWE Raw Thoughts 22.8.2011 By David Damage

John Cena, Alberto Del Rio, Triple H and CM Punk come to the ring and argue about who the No.1 contender is.... Lots of fast forwarding here. Boring Segment.

20 minutes into Raw (about 5 minutes for me using Fast forward) John Morrison Vs Alberto Del Rio is about to start...

They have a good match, thanks largely to John Morrison, who is such a great athlete.

Eve Vs Nikki Bella... What a waste of time.

Jack Swagger Vs Alex Riley.

Jack Swagger is pretty good in the ring, but Alex Riley needs to be sent back to wrestling school.
Alex Riley won a short, pointless match.

A Dolph Ziggler Vs Jack Swagger feud will produce very good matches that I would personally look forward to watching.
I could really do without the Vicky Guerrero crap though, they don't need it and I fear she will ruin their feud, getting involved in the finishes to all the matches and being the main focus of the storyline.

Kevin Nash / HHH / CM Punk Segment
The segment was fine for what it was, but CM Punk looked weak being knocked down by a slow-motion forearm by Nash and not doing anything about it.

Kofi & Evan Bourne win the Tag Titles in a very rushed match.
Good to see it for these two great talents and hopefully McGillicutty & Otunga can split now because Otunga is like a noose around McGillicutty's neck.
The stupid McGillicutty name needs to go too, Mr Perfect's son has a ton of talent and a lot of potential. Otunga has none.

It's a shame the Tag Titles continue to change between thrown-together teams, rather than WWE actually having any real ones.

R-Truth & Miz beat down Santino and cut a promo about joining forces.
The promo went way too long. I guess here are the guys who have been thrown together to beat Bourne and Kofi for the Tag Titles in a couple of weeks.

Cena throws his shirt into the crowd and the intelligent Canadians throw that crap right back at him.

CM Punk was good in the match, as he always is and Cena was awful in the match, as he always is.
Kevin Nash came down the ramp and distracted Punk before Cena pinned him after his comical fireman's carry into a shrug-off.

Alberto and Cena brawled I think, I don't know I was really bored by this point and stopped watching. Another week, another bad Raw.

WWE NXT Thoughts 25th August 2011 By David Damage

Matt Striker / Darren Young segment.... This was fine for what it was and good to see Regal get into the ring to save Striker, setting up a match or two with Darren Young for future weeks...

Trent Barreta Vs Tyson Kidd... These guys are great and they have a really good match, as can always be expected when you put two great athletes like these guys in the ring together and give them time to have a good match.
It's not exactly Cognitive Science, but WWE seems to struggle with this concept 96% of the time.

Why is it that when WWE go for a commercial break during a match - when they return after commercials, they replay the last move before the commercial break?
Why not show what we actually missed during commercials?

AJ Vs Maxine.... Just to balance out the Tyson Kidd Vs Trent Barreta match, they have this crap, it's awful. Unwatchable. These girls aren't ready to be on TV.
The only word for it I can think of to describe it is embarrassing...

And then you have Hornswoggle on the outside for all those WWE kiddy fans out there.... and they are about finish the show replaying CM Punk Vs Damn Cena from Raw... so I just stopped Nxt here for my own sanity as it was difficult enough to sit through that the first time.

WWE Smack Down Thoughts 26th August 2011 By David Damage

It's great to see Bret Hart back on TV and his time in the ring with Christian was great, then Mark Henry came to the ring and I stopped paying attention.  I think Sheamus came out too. Boring....

Christian and Daniel Bryan had a very good match.
I hope to see more matches between these two in the future. Great stuff.
A little more time wouldn't have hurt, but the action was brilliant.

Wade Barrett cuts another boring promo in the ring and walks away from a jobber because he felt the guy was beneath him...

In what was most probably Mistico's last match in WWE and a match which had to be filmed 3 times before Vince McMahon thought it was acceptable to air on TV(And he thinks any Cena match is acceptable!??), Heath Slater was basically a jobber and the match didn't last more than a couple of minutes....

Randy Orton Vs Ted Dibiase Jnr

I think Ted is a lot better in the ring than Randy and they have an average WWE-Style match here, but slightly more active than the usual lethargic Orton match.
Cody gets into the ring and hits the Cross Rhodes on Dibiase after he had lost to Orton.

Kelly Kelly Vs Tamina.... Kelly can't work, so it's difficult to say how good Tamina was while she wrestled the human equivalent of a crash test dummy, except a crash test dummy wouldn't make as many mistakes as Kelly and probably has a higher IQ.

Well, it goes from bad to worse because Khali is now in the ring, waiting for Ahmed Johnson, sorry, I mean Ezekiel Jackson...
This was horrible, obviously, just horrible. Waste of time.

Mark Henry Vs Sheamus
I lost interest only a couple of minutes into this horrible match, which ended in Mark Henry being counted out.
Whoever decided to give these guys more time in their match than Daniel Bryan Vs Christian had for their match, is insane.
After the match, Mark Henry and Sheamus continued to punch, kick and shove each other outside the ring before Henry slammed Sheamus on the steps. Boring.

I was wondering what would be the main event, but Smack Down just ended, so I guess that was it…. WTF!!!???

If you missed Smack Down this week, the only thing worth caring about was the appearance by Bret Hart and the Christian / Daniel Bryan match at the start of the show, everything else was worthless.

WWE Superstars 27th August 2011

Sheamus Vs Heath Slater.... Sheamus' offence consists only of punches, forearms, kicks, knees and a shoulder block... I can't stand watching him.
Heath was treated as a complete jobber and he only got one move on Sheamus before being pinned.
I challenge anyone to watch this match and still say that Sheamus has any worth as a pro wrestler.

Pete Gibson Vs Brodus Clay
This reminded me of Mable from MOM Vs a jobber from the old WWF Superstars or Challenge shows, but at least it was over quickly.

JTG Vs Justin Gabriel
These guys have a good little TV match, with Justin Gabriel winning with the 450 Splash.

Daniel Bryan Vs Drew McIntyre

Bryan is so great in the ring and he carried Drew to a good TV match to end Superstars on a high note.
