Chris Masters Saves His Mother

When former WWE wrestling star Chris "The Masterpiece" Masters learned his mother was stuck inside her burning Los Angeles home with an apparently deranged man he went into "hero mode" to rescue her, he told ABCNews.com today.

The 6-foot-4, 265 pound wrestling star "bear-hugged" a 10-foot ficus tree standing in the way of the window to his mom's room and wrenched it out of the way so he and police could break the window and pull his mom to safety.

LAS VEGAS -- Of all the promos that Jake "The Snake" Roberts has delivered through his wrestling career, the one Wednesday night to his peers at the Cauliflower Alley Club in Las Vegas was the toughest.

Though Roberts started off light -- "I'm killing my gimmick," he cracked, referring to being in a suit and tie, he turned sober, confessing that the next time that he expected to wear a suit would be at his own funeral.

WWE / Doug Somers Court Battle Ends

Kudge Marvin H. Shoob of The United States District Court, Northern Division in Georgia ruled today in favor of a motion filed by WWE several months back, dismissing the court case brought against the company by former AWA World Tag Team champion Duane "Pretty Boy Doug Somers" Somerson.

In November 2011, Somers filed suit against WWE regarding their usage of AWA footage containing his likeness and matches on four DVDs, WWE Classics on Demand, books and other materials without his personal cons...

Daffney & TNA Settle Lawsuit

Shannon "Daffney" Spruill has settled her lawsuit against TNA over medical bills for injuries sustained during her time with the company. The lawsuit was settled on Friday morning in a mediation session that took place just before a scheduled hearing. According to sources close to the case, the hearing was for the judge to rule on whether Daffney was an employee or, as TNA claimed, an independent contractor. 77 Year Old CM Punk Fan Shot In Eye

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – The 77-year-old Christian Brothers Academy baseball coach shot in the eye during the robbery of his North Side liquor store last week was back at work on Tuesday.

Thomas Dotterer was shot Wednesday night during the robbery of Salina Liquors and Wine.

For a time he was hospitalized in critical condition. He underwent surgery on his eye at the hospital and will travel to Philadelphia next Tuesday to see a specialist.
